Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated MAP (Multi-Agency Partnership) Social Worker to join our diverse team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting vulnerable individuals, particularly those involved with unauthorised situations, ensuring their safety, well-being, and access to appropriate services. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of individuals and families involved in unauthorised circumstances to identify their needs and risks.
- Collaborate with multi-agency partners including healthcare, education, law enforcement, and community organisations to develop tailored intervention plans.
- Provide direct support and advocacy for clients, ensuring their voices are heard and their rights upheld.
- Monitor and review case progress, adapting strategies to meet changing needs.
- Maintain accurate and confidential case records in accordance with legal and organisational standards.
- Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of service delivery and team interactions.
- Participate in regular training and professional development to stay informed about best practices and legislation related to unauthorised issues.
- Engage with local communities to raise awareness and build trust.
Qualifications
- Degree in Social Work or equivalent professional qualification.
- Registration with the relevant social work regulatory body.
- Proven experience working with individuals in unauthorised or complex social situations.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding principles and relevant legislation.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and advocacy skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within multi-agency settings.
- Commitment to promoting diversity, equality, and inclusion.
- Resilience and the capacity to manage challenging situations with empathy and professionalism.
Day-to-Day
- Conduct home visits and face-to-face meetings with clients to assess needs and provide support.
- Attend multi-agency meetings to coordinate care plans and share relevant information.
- Document case notes and prepare reports to inform decision-making.
- Respond promptly to crises or urgent situations, ensuring client safety.
- Participate in supervision and team meetings to reflect on practice and share knowledge.
- Engage in outreach activities to connect with undeserved populations.
- Continuously evaluate service effectiveness and contribute ideas for improvement.
