Connect2Surrey 2022: Year in Review
2022 is drawing to a close, and what a year we’ve had! It was the year Connect2Surrey launched, and so much has happened that we wanted to share with you before we leap into the new year. We caught up with Business Manager, Sherree Norval, to reflect on the past 12 months and look to the future.
What has been Connect2Surrey’s highlight of 2022?
Connect2Surrey went live on 1st February and in our first 10 months, we have built strong working partnerships with key stakeholders in the business and are seeing the advantages those relationships can bring. Communication and building relationships and promoting the Connect2Surrey brand are key to our success. We are looking forward to our partnership continuing to build and grow, as we move towards the end of our first year, as we head into 2023.
Plus, Commercial Services Group Recruitment Division won Best Public/Third Sector Recruitment Agency at the Recruiter Awards this year! This is a testament to our collaborative partnership with local authorities, and we'd like to thank everyone for their support!
What recruitment challenges have you faced this year, and how have you overcome them?
There is a national crisis for Social Workers across the UK and Surrey County has its fair share of needs in this area. We have been working with our agency supply chain partners to help fulfil those requirements. Thinking more creatively around candidate attraction has been key for helping to support via ongoing recruitment campaigns on social media and LinkedIn.
Connect2Surrey are exploring several recruitment initiatives to help with attraction, retention, and workforce planning for the future.
The Connect2Surrey team consists of Talent Partners who are dedicated and focused on recruitment to help support and fill the number of high-volume recruitment needs of Surrey County Council across all business areas and where we have niche requirements.
What plans do Connect2Surrey have for 2023?
2023 will be exciting, as we explore additional services, we will be supporting within the interim contractor space and other partners to Surrey County Council.
Supporting Surrey County Council with workforce planning across all areas of their business will also be key to our success and enabling Surrey County Council and Connect2Surrey to achieve their business and recruitment objectives.
As we move towards our second year, the team are settling in well and we will have perfected our processes and look forward to all the opportunities 2023 will bring.
We’d like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your support this year, and we look forward to working together in 2023!
